These springs are not physically 2 or 3 inches longer, however they achieve the lift that they give due to being made from a heavier gauge wire. This gives them a higher springing rate and makes them harder to compress, thus achieving the lift. These are best used for a vehicle that has heavy off road gear (roll cages etc.) fitted, that tows regularly or if you want to stiffen the on road ride. These springs will not give enough lift if your vehicle is fitted with a winch and bumper.

These springs are made to the same rating specification as in standard springs. However they achieve the lift that they give because they are physically 2" longer than new standard springs. Because of the extra length these springs are much softer and more supple. This makes them preform well off road on lighter type vehicles, and vehicles that need a lot of axle articulation.
These are not suited for towing or any heavy duty work (winches, roll cages etc). |
