Kinetic Energy Recovery Rope, originally developed by the Military to recover stuck tanks. This multi strand rope uses the energy stored in the rope when it is stretched taught at speed to overcome the inertia of a stuck vehicle and help free it. This example is 8m long and has a diameter of 24mm and features protected soft spliced loops at either end.
